1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use the GiraffyReach platform, including all features, APIs, automated tools, and content generated by or through the Service. This AUP applies to all users — individuals, teams, and any organization accessing the Service under a business or enterprise agreement. It supplements our Terms of Service, which remain in full effect. In the event of a conflict between this AUP and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service prevail. We wrote this policy to be clear, not to be weaponized. We reserve discretion in enforcement and will always attempt to contact you before taking action, except where the violation poses an immediate risk to others or to the platform.

2. Permitted Use

You may use GiraffyReach to: • Discover job listings published on employer career pages and public job feeds. • Generate, edit, and download resumes and cover letters for your own job applications. • Send personalized outreach messages to recruiters and hiring managers on your own behalf. • Track the status of your job applications and email communications. • Access features and integrations included in your current subscription plan. The Service is designed for individual job seekers and talent professionals acting in good faith. Any use outside the scope of active job searching — such as bulk data collection, competitive intelligence gathering, or reselling access — is prohibited.

3. Prohibited Conduct

3.1 Identity and Misrepresentation

You must not: • Impersonate any person, company, or entity in outreach messages, profile data, or any content generated through the Service. • Submit false, fabricated, or materially misleading information in your resume, work history, credentials, or profile. • Create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit written authorization. • Use the Service to apply to roles you have no genuine interest in, including for the purpose of gathering competitive intelligence or testing employer systems.

3.2 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

You must not: • Send bulk, untargeted, or repetitive outreach messages to the same recipient without a legitimate hiring-related purpose. • Use the automated outreach feature to send messages that violate the CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, GDPR, or any other applicable law governing electronic communications. • Include deceptive subject lines, false headers, or misleading sender information in any outreach message. • Continue sending outreach to a recipient after they have asked you to stop. Outreach must be targeted, relevant, and respectful. Volume alone does not constitute a violation — targeting quality does.

3.3 Scraping and Data Extraction

You must not: • Use automated scripts, bots, crawlers, or any non-human means to access, extract, or collect data from the GiraffyReach platform without our prior written consent. • Systematically download, copy, or store job listings, employer data, or any platform content for distribution or commercial resale. • Attempt to reconstruct our proprietary job-discovery database or reverse-engineer our data sources. • Use the Service's outputs to train machine learning models or populate competing products.

3.4 Platform Integrity

You must not: • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network connected to GiraffyReach. • Introduce viruses, malware, ransomware, or any malicious code into the platform. • Perform penetration testing, load testing, or security scanning against our infrastructure without our written authorization. • Interfere with, disrupt, or degrade the performance of the Service for other users. • Bypass, circumvent, or disable any security feature, rate limit, or access control. • Use the Service in a way that places disproportionate load on our infrastructure.

3.5 Intellectual Property

You must not: • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any portion of the platform's interface, algorithms, or proprietary content. • Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary rights notices from content accessed through the Service. • Use GiraffyReach's name, logo, or brand assets without our prior written consent. • Claim ownership of AI-generated content produced by the Service in contexts where doing so would be fraudulent or materially misleading.

3.6 Harmful and Illegal Content

You must not use the Service to generate, distribute, or facilitate: • Content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive toward any individual or group. • Content that discriminates on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic. • Content that violates any applicable employment law, including laws prohibiting discriminatory hiring practices. • Any activity that constitutes fraud, identity theft, or unauthorized data processing under applicable law.

3.7 Account Sharing and Resale

You must not: • Share your account credentials with any other person or allow simultaneous access from multiple users under a single individual account. • Resell, sublicense, or provide third-party access to the Service without a written reseller or partner agreement with GiraffyReach. • Create accounts on behalf of multiple individuals without an appropriate team or enterprise plan.

4. Outreach Quality Standards

Because automated outreach is a core feature of GiraffyReach, we hold users to a higher standard in this area. Outreach sent through our platform reflects on our infrastructure and deliverability. You agree that all outreach messages sent via GiraffyReach will: • Be addressed to a specific, named individual at a specific company where you have a genuine interest in working. • Contain an accurate representation of who you are and why you are reaching out. • Not make false claims about your experience, qualifications, or relationship with the recipient. • Include a clear way for the recipient to stop receiving messages from you. • Not be sent to the same individual more than three times without a meaningful response indicating continued interest. We monitor outreach volume and complaint rates at an aggregate level. Accounts generating an unusually high bounce rate, spam complaint rate, or unsubscribe rate may be suspended pending review.

5. AI-Generated Content Standards

GiraffyReach uses AI to generate resumes, cover letters, and outreach messages. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all AI-generated content before use. You must not: • Submit AI-generated content that contains fabricated credentials, degrees, employment dates, or achievements you do not hold. • Use AI-generated content to misrepresent your identity or qualifications to an employer or recruiter. • Represent to an employer that AI-generated content was written entirely by you in situations where that representation would be materially misleading (e.g., in a writing-skills assessment). You must: • Review all AI-generated content for accuracy before sending or submitting. • Correct any factual errors introduced by the AI before use. • Take full responsibility for the content of any message or document sent on your behalf.

6. Enforcement

GiraffyReach reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. Our response may include, depending on severity: • A warning and request to correct the behavior. • Temporary suspension of your account or specific features. • Permanent termination of your account without refund. • Referral to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law. • Civil action to recover damages caused by the violation. We will generally attempt to contact you before taking action, except where: • The violation poses an immediate risk to other users or the platform. • The violation involves fraud, impersonation, or illegal activity. • Prior warnings have been ignored. Good-faith security researchers who discover and responsibly disclose vulnerabilities will not be penalized. See our responsible disclosure process at support@giraffyreach.com.

7. Reporting Violations

If you believe another user is violating this AUP — including sending harassing outreach using our platform — please report it to support@giraffyreach.com with as much detail as possible. We investigate all reports and aim to respond within 3 business days. We will not disclose the identity of reporters except where required by law.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
