What this event is
WomenHack's Chicago event on Wednesday, October 21 at 7 PM uses a rapid five-minute interview format with 15 to 20 employers recruiting women in tech. Candidates apply for a free invite and the venue is shared with approved attendees. It targets software engineers, designers, product managers, data scientists and DevOps engineers with two-plus years of experience.

Women technologists with a couple of years of experience who want many hiring-manager conversations in one evening.
This is the highest-density hiring room for women in tech in Chicago this fall, so apply for the invite the day you read this. Five minutes is enough to state your stack, your best result and the role you want; skip the life story. Employers who pay to be here want to hire, but sponsorship is still per-company, so ask each one. Send follow-ups that same night while you are still a face they remember.

Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
