What this event is
HackerX runs a rapid-interview night where pre-screened developers rotate through employer tables in five-minute rounds. Companies pay to attend and typically meet 75–100 candidates; developers apply for a free invite. The October 8 Los Angeles date is listed on hackerx.org with the venue still to be published.

Who should go
Engineers with 2–15 years of experience who are actively interviewing and want face time with multiple local employers in one night.
This is one of the few LA events where the companies are literally paying to meet you, so treat it like a real interview loop and not a mixer. Apply for the invite early because HackerX caps developer counts to keep the ratio sane. The employer lineup is not posted yet, so check the page a week out and skip it if the list is all staffing agencies. Sponsorship is a per-company question here; ask it in the first minute so you do not burn a round.

Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
