What this event is
UCI's Fall STEM Career & Internship Fair takes place Thursday, October 15 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Student Center, one week after the general Fall Career & Internship Fair on October 8. Registration and the employer list are on Handshake. The fair targets science, engineering and computing students seeking internships and full-time roles.

Who should go
UCI students in computer science, informatics, engineering or data science, especially those targeting Orange County employers like Blizzard, Boeing, Edwards Lifesciences and local SaaS firms.
Skip the October 8 general fair unless you are desperate; the STEM fair a week later is where the software employers actually show up. Orange County has a strong medtech, gaming and enterprise software cluster, and many of those mid-size companies do sponsor, but you will have to ask each one because Handshake profiles rarely say. Arrive at 10 sharp; lines for the recognizable names are long by 11. Have a target list of ten booths so you do not drift.
Show up prepared

- 2Print 15 resumes and load your Handshake profile with a current resume
- 3Prepare one question per target company that shows you read their careers page
Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
