What this event is
USC's largest engineering-focused recruiting event runs three days: employer recruiting sessions and product demos on September 28–29 (RSVP on Handshake, max two per student), then the open-air Career & Internship Fair on September 30 from 10 AM to 3 PM. Over 100 employers participate, including Amazon, Capital One, Palantir, Boeing and Texas Instruments. The fair is open to all Viterbi students with no registration required.

Who should go
USC Viterbi undergrads and grad students in CS, EE, data science or any engineering major hunting summer 2027 internships or new-grad roles.
The Monday and Tuesday recruiting sessions matter more than the Wednesday fair; you get a small room with the actual hiring team instead of a two-minute handshake in a crowd. Pick the two you are allowed and show up, because no-shows get flagged. Amazon, Capital One and Palantir all sponsor H-1Bs at scale, while Boeing and most aerospace booths will ask about citizenship on the spot, so do not waste a line on them if you need sponsorship. Pull the employer list on Handshake the night before and rank ten booths.
Show up prepared
- 1Review the Handshake employer list and RSVP to two recruiting sessions on Sep 28–29 before they fill
- 2Print 15 one-page resumes and bring a Viterbi student ID for check-in
- 3Prepare a 30-second pitch that names a project and the tech stack, not just your major
Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
