What this event is
FIU's all-majors Fall Career Fair fills the Ocean Bank Convocation Center for four hours with employers hiring interns and full-time graduates. It is open only to FIU students and alumni, requires Handshake registration, professional attire and a digital resume. Tech employers are mixed in with every other industry.

All-majors fairs reward preparation, not wandering. Filter the Handshake employer list to software and data roles and hit those booths first, before the lines form. Big South Florida sponsors (banks, consultancies, cruise-line tech) do show up, but plenty of local firms won't sponsor, so ask in the first minute. Alumni access is the underrated angle here if you graduated already.

Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
