Roles you will actually see
Who should go
Working developers who want a fast batch of recruiter conversations once the next date drops.
No date is posted yet, so the only action is to complete the developer profile and get approved; approvals lag, so do it now. When the date lands, check the company list and skip if it is mostly staffing agencies. Sponsorship varies by night; the Raleigh lineups have historically been Triangle enterprise shops that do sponsor, but verify each one. Do not plan around it until it is on the calendar.
Show up prepared
- 1Apply for the HackerX developer invite and set a Raleigh alert
- 2Prepare a 60-second pitch for speed rounds
- 3Vet the company list for H-1B history the day it is published
Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
Showing up is half of it.
The other half is being first to the roles these employers post, and having something real to show when you get there.
See roles the minute they go live, tailor one resume per employer, and reach the hiring manager directly. Walk into the event as a follow-up, not a stranger.
