What this event is
Santa Clara University's fall STEM Career Fair is an in-person fair for science, technology, engineering and math students, running late afternoon into the evening. Employers register through Handshake and students register on Handshake to see who is attending.

Who should go
SCU engineering and CS students, plus grad students in the School of Engineering, targeting internships and new-grad roles.
If you only do one SCU fair, do this one; the employer list is filtered to STEM so every conversation is relevant. The 3–7 PM window means the last hour is quiet, and quiet booths are where recruiters actually talk. Semiconductor and hardware companies show up heavily here and many of them sponsor, so do not skip them if you write embedded or systems code. Ask specifically about their new-grad H-1B track and whether they file in the spring lottery.

Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
Showing up is half of it.
