What this event is
WomenHack's October San Francisco edition is an invite-only virtual recruiting event for women developers, technical designers and product owners. The format is a welcome address with sponsor keynotes, five-minute speed rotations with employers, expo booths and a closing networking session. It is free for candidates who are approved for an invite.

Virtual speed rotations are brutal on first impressions, so test your camera and lighting, and open with your name, stack and what you are looking for in one breath. Employers that pay to sponsor WomenHack are signalling they want diverse pipelines, which usually means real openings, not brand-building. Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
