What this event is
HackerX's Seattle event is Monday, November 30, 2026 from 6 to 9 PM, in its speed-dating format where developers and employers rotate through five-minute conversations. Employers pay to attend and request attendee lists by skill area such as AI, data science, full stack and iOS; the event is free for approved developers. It is the only Seattle HackerX date currently posted for the rest of 2026.

Who should go
Experienced developers who interview well in short bursts and want to meet many smaller and mid-size employers at once.
HackerX is the best value in-person format for mid-career engineers because everyone in the room is actively hiring. The weakness is the employer mix, usually startups, agencies and mid-caps rather than the Seattle giants, and sponsorship is company by company; expect roughly half to say no. Apply early, then ask HackerX for the employer list the week before and spend your five minutes only on companies whose roles you actually want.

Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
Showing up is half of it.
The other half is being first to the roles these employers post, and having something real to show when you get there.
