What this event is
VCU's Fall Internship & Career Fair runs October 28 from noon to 3 PM for students and alumni of all majors, covering internships, part-time and full-time roles. It is co-sponsored by SCHEV and VCU's internship and global education offices, and registration is through Handshake.

VCU CS and engineering students and alumni who missed the September engineering fair, plus anyone targeting Richmond's corporate tech employers.
The September engineering fair was the sharper software event, but the October all-majors fair is where Richmond's big corporate employers recruit technology associates and analysts, and Capital One in particular is a top-tier H-1B sponsor. Walk in with a resume that says software, skip the retail and hospitality rows, and ask each corporate booth which tech program they are hiring for. Alumni are welcome, so use it even if you graduated.

Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
