What this event is
UCF's largest fair, the Fall 2026 Internship & Career Expo, runs October 1 from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Addition Financial Arena with 250+ employers across technology, engineering, finance, healthcare and government. It is free for UCF students and alumni; Fast Pass entry is at 11:30 and general admission at noon. Handshake registration speeds check-in.
Roles you will actually see
Who should go
UCF computer science, IT and engineering students and alumni looking for internships and new-grad roles.
UCF has one of the largest CS programs in the US, so the software lines here are brutal by 12:30. Use the Fast Pass, go to your top three booths first and leave the big names for the last hour when lines thin. Orlando's employer base is heavy on defense, simulation and theme-park tech; Lockheed and friends need citizenship, so sponsorship-seekers should target EA, the banks, Disney tech and the SaaS firms. Follow up on Handshake the same evening.
Show up prepared
- 1Register on Handshake and filter to software and data employers
- 2Print 15 resumes and put your GitHub on every one
- 3Rank your booths and sort them by sponsorship likelihood
Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
Showing up is half of it.
The other half is being first to the roles these employers post, and having something real to show when you get there.
See roles the minute they go live, tailor one resume per employer, and reach the hiring manager directly. Walk into the event as a follow-up, not a stranger.
Start free13 weeks of building real AI agents and automations, so the answer to "what have you built" is a link, not a story.
