NC State Fall 2026 Engineering Career Fair
The Triangle's biggest engineering fair is two full days and lets non-students in the door.

What this event is
NC State's Fall 2026 Engineering Career Fair runs Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 1 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the McKimmon Center. NC State students enter at 9:30 AM; non-NC State attendees may enter at 10:30 AM with photo ID. No registration is required and backpacks are not allowed; shuttles run from main and Centennial campus.

Who should go
Any engineering or CS student or recent grad in the Triangle, including non-NC State attendees with ID.
Two days means you can split it: day one for your dream list, day two for everyone else and follow-ups. Check the employer list on Career Fair Plus the night before and filter by 'Computer Science' or 'Software', because a large share of tables are civil, mechanical and defense. Defense and utility employers will not sponsor visas, so do not burn time there if you need H-1B; the big tech and fintech tables do, but ask early. Bring a photo ID and no backpack or you will be stuck at the door.
Show up prepared

Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
