HackerX's only San Diego tech job fair of 2026 runs Thursday, November 26 from 6 to 9 PM. Up to 100 pre-vetted engineers rotate through five-minute interviews with 20-plus employers, and companies often make on-the-spot interview invitations. Developers apply for a free invite; the exact venue is not yet posted.

Mid-level and senior engineers with a polished pitch who want many employer touches in one night.
The date is Thanksgiving Day in the US, so confirm on the HackerX page before you plan around it; the listing may shift. HackerX is a numbers game: you get five minutes per table, so nail a 60-second intro and a one-line ask. Employer lists drop a week or two out, and in San Diego they lean toward local software firms and staffing partners rather than FAANG, so pick your top six tables beforehand. Sponsorship depends on the company; ask in the last minute of each table.

Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
