What this event is
The Career & Internship Center's fall fair runs Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 11 AM to 2:30 PM in the HUB Ballrooms. It is open to all majors and years across all three UW campuses, plus alumni and community members, and features employers from every industry. Registration is through Handshake.

Who should go
Anyone in the Seattle area without a current student ID who wants a free, walk-in shot at UW-recruiting employers.
The big news here is access: community members can attend, which almost no other campus fair in the region allows. The tradeoff is breadth, since retail, government and nonprofit booths will outnumber software ones, so check the Handshake list and skip the fair if fewer than ten employers post developer roles. If you went to the Engineering Hiring Expo the day before, use this one only for employers who were not there.
Show up prepared

- 2Bring a state ID; community attendees may be asked to sign in
- 3Follow up on LinkedIn the same evening while recruiters still remember faces
Sponsorship reality
Sponsorship varies by employer. No organizer publishes sponsorship. Check each employer you plan to meet against H-1B disclosure data before you go, and ask in the first two minutes so neither side wastes the conversation.
Showing up is half of it.
The other half is being first to the roles these employers post, and having something real to show when you get there.
